Why do I need Trip Protection?
Trip protection is always optional. We never want to pressure anyone.
But we do want to educate you before you book so you fully understand what travel protection covers, why we recommend it, and what it can help with if something unexpected happens.
We can show you your package total with our most popular travel protection included, and it can always be removed if you decide you don’t want it.
Below is a quick overview. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — we truly believe there is wisdom in understanding what you are purchasing (or declining).
Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Coverage (Important)
One of the most popular features included in our recommended plan is Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage.
Here’s the key thing to know:
CFAR coverage must be added within 15 days after you place your deposit in order for it to be active.
Once it is added and locked in, CFAR gives you more flexibility if you need to cancel for reasons that may not be covered under standard trip insurance.
We also offer a higher-priced option that includes CFAR with cash back. This is an additional add-on item. If you’d like details, just let us know.
Why we strongly recommend it
Weather protection (Hurricane Season)
Hurricane season runs from late May through the end of November.
If the weather looks iffy or a storm is in the region, travel protection may allow you to cancel or change plans.
Medical coverage outside the U.S.
When traveling outside the United States, your personal health insurance does not cover you for medical needs.
Over the years, we’ve seen travel protection used for everything from:
minor injuries (cuts, stitches)
broken bones
serious emergencies
Last year, one of our clients broke her ankle during a trip and needed surgery. Travel protection helped cover her medical needs and assisted with flying her home, along with expenses related to the missed trip.
Life happens
We never plan to cancel a trip — but if COVID taught us anything, the unexpected can happen.
Travel protection can help if:
a family emergency occurs
you need to cancel close to departure
you need to return home early due to a medical or emergency situation
Traveling with kids
We hope everything goes smoothly but kids can be accident-prone.
Trip protection can provide peace of mind if a child becomes sick or injured before or during travel.
Protecting your trip payments
Once payments are made:
airline tickets are typically non-refundable
penalties increase as you get closer to travel dates
you could lose part (or all) of your trip investment if you cancel without protection
(Terms and conditions are available upon request.)
Again — no pressure at all.
We simply want you to have the facts so you can make the best decision for your trip.
We are offering two travel protection plans for your trip: Essential and Preferred. Each plan provides coverage for common travel disruptions, with different levels of protection.
The cost of travel insurance is personalized and is based on several factors, including:
If you book your own flights separately, those costs are not included in your initial insurance quote. If you would like your flights covered, your policy will need to be updated and repriced.
Below is a sample comparison chart showing coverage details and percentages for each plan.
Your personal quote may vary.
When completing your registration form, please indicate which plan you would like to select or if you prefer to decline coverage.

A: No worries, this is common. For international travel, you may be asked to show documentation such as a birth certificate to confirm the relationship between the child and the accompanying adult.
In some cases, a notarized consent letter from the other parent may also be required. Having these documents ready ahead of time helps ensure a smooth travel experience.
If this applies to you, feel free to reach out and I can guide you on what’s needed.

No, you don't. Club MoBay is an optional VIP service that simply kicks off (and wraps up) your trip in style.
On arrival:
You’ll be traveling during Thanksgiving season, which means Montego Bay Airport can be very busy. You can absolutely navigate immigration and customs on your own — or you can have a Club MoBay representative meet you on arrival, escort you through the lines, and bring you straight to the arrivals lounge to relax with a drink while you wait for your transportation to the hotel.
On departure:
Think of it as one last moment of relaxation before heading home. Enjoy access to the airport lounge, grab a final rum punch and a patty, and unwind comfortably while waiting for your flight back to the U.S.
You mentioned resort credits, what can I use them on?
All wedding guests will receive $500 USD in resort credits per room. Upon check-in, the hotel will provide a detailed list of experiences and services where these credits can be applied.
Please note that a 16% tax applies to any item redeemed using resort credits. This tax is paid by the guest and will appear on your final hotel bill.
Do I need to purchase travel protection?
Travel protection is highly recommended for all guests. It helps protect your investment in the event that unexpected situations arise, such as trip delays, cancellations, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
While travel protection is optional, it can provide peace of mind, especially for destination weddings where flights, accommodations, and event dates are fixed.
Guests may choose a plan that offers travel credit or one that provides a cash refund, depending on the level of coverage selected.
Please note: Refunds and cancellations are subject to the resort’s and airline’s policies. Travel protection is the only way to add an extra layer of coverage beyond those policies.
